- The Opportunity
Our client is a leading Audio Visual and Unified Communications Integrator based in Berkshire. They are looking for an AV Technical Project Manager to be a leader within the operations department. He/she will be the strongest technical figure head within the team. You will manage and strengthen the delivery of all projects within the business and execute the company core values at all times.
Overall Responsibility
Manage projects with an administrative team to a high standard, excellent customer service, quality on site and protection of margins. As an estimate they have around 30 projects per month with several of these being large £100k plus projects.
Ensure service contract standards and SLA are adhered to and the service manager is covering all logs.
Manage all engineers in house and external and the appropriate insurances, vehicles and PPE when required.
Be able to demonstrate an understanding of all company products, services and business processes as well as having a high level of technical knowledge to deliver solutions accurately.
Key Tasks Responsibilities
o Manage margins/budgets of each project
o Ensure quality of equipment, cables, quotes and engineers adhere to our client's standards.
o Alongside the administrators, organise and deliver all projects to client's standard.
o Technical specification of all jobs, cables schedules and drawings where required.
o Ensure all R M and training are kept up to date
o Overall management of service contracts alongside a designated engineer
o Demonstrate pro-active behaviour in driving repeat business through quality work and customer delight.
Solution Design/Technical check
o Display a high technical understanding of all the Company's products and services.
o May attend supplier and vendor training sessions to ensure up to date on all technology and products.
o Where required become certified on supplier/manufacturer accreditations to bolster the Company's standing within that supplier/manufacturer.
o Identify gaps in knowledge and work with Managing Director to plug these gaps.
Based in Reading or within commuting distance, salary will be negotiable doe circa £38k-£45k plus benefits.
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will have strong Audio Visual and Unified Communications experience as a Project Engineer looking for the next step in their career or a Project Manager looking for a new position and opportunity.
You will have excellent technical skills in AV and UC and be up to date with new technology in this area.
You will have excellent communication skills, be a firm but fair manager and enjoy working in a fast paced but friendly environment.
