- The Opportunity
Our client is looking for an AV Project Engineer to join their growing team. As part of the role the successful CAD/Project Engineer will work as part of the design team, helping to design and develop cutting edge audio and video services/systems, alongside MEP designs, You will be involved in the lifecycle of the overall internal AV/MEP technology strategies and systems.
What You'll Do:
Assist in the development of briefs, including site surveys, preliminary sketches, working drawings and specifications.
Prepare plans, drawings models and provide technical advice and assistance.
Liaise with contractors, consultants clients.
Advise and direct contractors and other relevant parties throughout all stages of construction, including site inspection and attendance at site meetings
Utilise pre-designed programs on computing and associated equipment as a tool in the provision of the service. In particular to prepare drawings using computer aided design software.
Work to programmes and deadlines in consultation with Project Managers.
Undertake training as required or as identified by management for the proper execution or development within your role/company.
Any other ad hoc duties as reasonably required by the company and within the competency of the post-holder.
Based in West Yorkshire - Wakefield - salary is neg and doe £35k plus vehicle or car allowance and benefits.
Your skills and Experience
Minimum of 1+ years' experience using AutoCAD
Familiar with technical drawings.
Be eligible and willing to travel to client sites
Responsible and reliable, capable of working alone as well as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work effectively with customers and other stakeholders.
Must have excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills with a strong service orientation focus.
Must have critical thinking ability, problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills.
Ability to learn and share new skills and to apply them efficiently.
Strong, technical, analytical and numerical skills.
Be flexible and adaptable to change, to meet the needs of the customer.
