- The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a successful niche events company in the heart of Rutland.
The role of Production Supervisor confidently oversees the Asset/Build Management division of our client's business, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the Company meets and exceeds customers' expectations. With responsibility for production projects, being the in-house point of contact for clients and managing subcontracted suppliers; the role ensures our client delivers a first-class product consistently in a compliant and safe manner. The role provides support to the sales and marketing team during the contracting process and oversees the implementation of new build and conversion projects once business is contracted.
The Production Supervisor is an excellent communicator, willing to be flexible and support the wider business as required. Commercial awareness with a focus on cost control and attention to detail is paramount to being able to achieve the needs of this role whilst working in a highly pressurised, last-minute environment.
Key responsibilities:
Project Build Conversion Management
Once a production, conversion or new build sale has been made to liaise between client, manufacturer and suppliers to monitor build specifications through to completion and hand over.
To keep diligent records of specifications and any extras/upgrades/changes during the build process and adjust costs appropriately for these.
To monitor and balance the sourcing of best price/best quality products and materials during builds and conversions.
To attend offsite production meetings as required to achieve the former.
Logistics Site Management
To provide any required information to assist in the production of risk assessments and technical information for events/hires and to clients as required
To provide innovative insight and suggestions for the manufacture of assets
To keep good relationships with the operational teams, suppliers and wider group businesses for mutual benefit
GENERAL
To provide (weekly) update reports for the Operational Meetings
To act as an ambassador for the organisation continually promoting our client's values and standards.
To be constantly looking for areas to improve profitability reducing costs or finding new ways to generate revenue
Comply with all Company and statutory fire, health and safety regulations, taking care of the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your actions or omissions.
To assist with other areas of the business, for example with sales functions and the wider group, if required outside the normal routine but within the overall scope of the position.
Based in Rutland, salary is circa £40k plus benefits (inc. profit share) and is office based with occasional site visits.
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will have good Audio Visual operational skills being able to manage events from concept to delivery.
You will have up to date experience of the latest Audio Visual solutions for event venues and be able to remain calm under pressure!
An excellent team leader with great communication skills, you will thrive in a busy but friendly environment.
