- The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to work within a leading end-to-end audio-visual solutions provider as their Technical Operations Manager
Your role will be general management of day-to-day running of a series of projects of various types, as well as other operations duties. You will analyse and improve organisational processes, and work to improve quality, productivity and efficiency, alongside assisting the design and installation of projects.
Leadership and mentorship of operational direct reports.
Project Manage a series of installation and consultancy led Projects
Meet with Service Engineers service status and any other key issues.
Meet with Install Engineers to ensure projects on time and on budget
Review and approve project budgets at project commencement with any supporting information, programmes, labour histograms sub-contractor quotes.
Maintain the operations information held in the company's chosen system.
Liaise with sales to track new opportunities.
Track project management loading and allocate projects to the project management team.
Track service engineer loading and allocate tickets to the service team.
Track field engineering loading and allocate tickets to the field engineering team.
Approve all sub-contractor spend on projects through sub-contractor requisition forms.
Assisting the business with HR / disciplinary matters as required.
Working with the office and warehouse team to ensure all deliveries on time, along with travel to supervise sites as needed
Assist with project design as needed, as well as being able to answer from-the-field questions from AV engineers
Support AV systems remotely, and if needed in the field.
Based near Reading salary will be £45k-£50k p.a. plus benefits

Can demonstrate extensive knowledge and understanding of project management principles.
Can demonstrate strong leadership skills, mentoring others and working in collaboration with the business to achieve goals.
Can demonstrate extensive experience of sales engagement with regards to presales support.
Can demonstrate extensive knowledge and understanding of cost control on a project, programme and departmental level.
Can demonstrate extensive knowledge and understanding of monitoring and controlling programme activities for key clients.
Can demonstrate strong communication skills - key stakeholder expectation management both internally and externally.
Can demonstrate strong written and verbal reporting functions internally to meet requirements of the business.
Can demonstrate good knowledge of AV Systems
