- The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly competitive, friendly and progressive company which offers great opportunities to build a career and progress. Our client is looking for an experienced AV/VC Commissioning Engineer to cover the London area and may include some UK travel.
Key Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Commission systems - manual and software commissioning
Work closely with Project manager and Site supervisor and programmer to make sure system is fit for purpose
Initiate network deployment with client IT
Provide on site first period support to bring systems into service with clients.
User training.
Technical training
Bring system into service and pass to support.
Rectify snags where possible and escalate as necessary.
Check and verification of system specific to levels.
Understanding of digital and analogue signals e.g. HDMI, EDID and HDCP
Understanding of IPTV networks
All applicants should have a good understanding and ideally have some experience in basic programming of Crestron Control systems
An understanding IP network Protocols
Experience and the ability to make configuration changes to DSP systems
InfoComm CTS certification is required (or be able to provide examples of other AV specific training)

Audio (sound desks, microphones, process, amps and wireless)
Video (Screens, projection, scalers, faders, and players)
Signage
IT (general)
CTS accreditation
Working the core hours of 09:00 to 17:30 (Shift work and some weekend work may be required)
Based in Greater London or the Home Counties salary is negotiable but circa £40k-£45k p.a. plus vehicle, pension and benefits.

PC proficiency
ICIA CTS qualified
To work to tight deadlines and under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Fluent in English
