- The Opportunity
This is an opportunity for an experience Audio Visual on site Technician to work for a leading integrator servicing customers in Canary Wharf.
The Onsite AV Technician is a dedicated resource provided to our client's customers to provide service support at a single site. The technician will be 0on site at the customer premises for at least three consecutive months to support the installed AV systems and system users at the site.
The role also includes break/fix support for functional AV issues as well as daily room functionality checks. The technician will be on-site three days per week.
Duties and Support:
Daily duties will include conducting room and system checks, responding to requests for support, investigating and troubleshooting both AV and IT issues at the site and ensuring any active tickets are updated. Any issues deemed to be IT related will be escalated to the clients IT team for support and action.
The role will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing and repairing AV systems including presentation systems, digital signage systems, UC and VC systems and audio systems. The technician will have an excellent working knowledge of audio-visual equipment including display equipment, control systems and complex audio systems plus relevant communications protocols.
The technician will also support users with system adoption and daily usage, supporting any large meetings or events on request.
The technician will liaise with the client's service desk to ensure all issues are raised and logged on the web portal for reporting purposes. The technician will be responsible for updating tickets, helpdesk staff and, where applicable, designated client contacts on a daily basis.
This is a full time, permanent position based in Canary Wharf, salary circa £35k p.a. neg. doe plus benefits.
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will have:
Experience of installing, commissioning and servicing commercial audio-visual systems including projection, flat panel, control systems, power amplifiers, DSPs, audio / video matrix systems, digital and analogue signal transmission formats.
Experience with Crestron NVX systems
You will be able to work un-supervised, under time pressure and to deliver outcomes to budget and required timeline.
Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals
Self-driven, organised and results oriented.
A people-person who prioritises customer/user experience
Able to use access equipment and physically install hardware into client sites without
technical assistance.
Relishes a challenge and stops at nothing to overcome problems they encounter
