- The Opportunity
Our client is looking for a proactive and customer-focused Internal Sales Executive to support their residential AV distribution business.
In this role, you will manage inbound enquiries, prepare quotations, process orders, and provide high-quality support to residential integrators, installers, and specialist retailers.
A key responsibility will be proactively chasing outstanding quotes and order updates to drive sales and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will also work closely with the Field Sales team to support their residential accounts and ensure a smooth end-to-end customer journey.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Enquiries & Support
• Act as the main point of contact for inbound enquiries from residential AV integrators, installers, and resellers.
• Provide product, pricing, and availability information tailored to residential applications.
• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and solution-oriented customer support.
Quotes, Order Processing & Follow-Up
• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for residential AV projects.
• Process customer orders, ensuring all information is entered correctly into the CRM/ERP system.
• Proactively chase outstanding quotes to maximise conversion rates and identify new opportunities.
• Follow up on pending or delayed orders, keeping customers fully updated.
• Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to confirm stock levels, lead times, and delivery arrangements.
Sales Team Collaboration
• Work closely with Field Sales Managers who focus on the residential market.
• Support them with account updates, quote preparation, product information, and customer follow-up.
• Provide insight into customer needs, project activity, and market trends within the residential AV sector.
Product & Market Knowledge
• Build strong knowledge of the company’s residential AV product portfolio, including networking, control systems, home cinema, audio, video distribution, and related technology.
• Stay updated on new products, promotions, and market developments specific to the residential channel.
General Administration
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer, quote, and order records.
• Support reporting, CRM updates, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Based in Swindon, salary is £25k-£28k p.a. neg,doe. plus £12k OTE bonus/commission and benefits.
Your skills and Experience
Essential:
• Experience in internal sales, customer service, order processing, or similar roles.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• High attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Comfortable using CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Desirable:
• Experience in the AV, CI (custom installation), IT, or technology distribution environment.
• Familiarity with residential AV solutions (e.g., home cinema, audio distribution, networking, control systems).
