- The Opportunity
The role of AV Channel Manager reports directly to the Business Development Director, Video EMEA North and is to develop a strategy and execution plan to deliver our client's financial targets for video across all of their video partners as well as supporting the wider channel.
The AV Channel Manager will be responsible for the local execution plan for the video channel and achieving the targets associated. You will use all the resources at your disposal including all client's salespeople, marketing, alliance and support staff to execute the plan and achieve the targets. You will be a ‘subject matter expert for video in the EMEA North region and will work closely with its counterparts in Central and South regions and with the central EMEA structure for Named Partners, Enterprise and Distribution as well as the global video team to ensure sales, Marketing and Alliance teams are supported.
You will develop best practices for channel distribution teams in demonstrating and delivering video solutions. This role is a field based position and will require significant travel mostly in UK/I and constant contact with the sales teams across the region as well as with HQ. This is an exciting, entrepreneurial role with a real chance to make a name for yourself within the company.
Responsibilities:
Business Development of video predominately within AV Channel but also supporting wider channel:
Develop and execute on a Video Channel plan in North Region in conjunction with BDD for EMEA North
To achieve the Video sales budget for Channel and to contribute to the EMEA and Global video sales target each financial cycle
Maintain in depth product knowledge to support Sales, Marketing and Alliance teams on client's Video solutions and be fully aware of the competition and the sales arguments
Additionally overlay wider Channel, distribution in meetings as a ‘video evangelist to provide ‘subject matter expertise, demonstrations and to deliver presentations as well as to give guidance on a video strategy in these accounts.
Work with AV consultants as part of the sales process with channel
To support at events, trade shows and webinars with specific input on our client's Video solutions
To train channel on the Video products and be able to clearly expound the Video solution sales proposition
To participate in the sales forecast process and have specific knowledge of all significant sales opportunities
To liaise with EMEA North Channel and End Customer Marketing teams to develop the propositions, campaigns and tools for client's Video solutions. This will involve being a Video industry ‘subject matter expert for thought leadership in PR and on social media
To help Sales prospect and develop new opportunities for our client's Video solutions
Based in London or the Home Counties ideally, salary is negotiable doe circa £60k p.a. neg. doe plus generous car allowance and commission/bonuses and benefits.
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will need:
A strong background and current experience in sales of audio video (AV) solutions and/or video conferencing ideally around the ‘MTR arena
Confident, Dynamic and real “go getter” personality
A strong, broad knowledge and expertise in AV and videoconferencing products and sales propositions
Consistently meet or exceed performance metrics
A degree level or equivalent qualification
Successful applicant should ideally be based in South of UK
Skills and Competencies
Excellent demonstration and presenting skills
An enthusiastic, can do attitude
Proficiency and discipline in using CRM and Microsoft Office applications
Fluency in spoken and written English
Must possess excellent written communication skills
Ability to capture, process and analyse data to make intelligent decisions
Exercise sound, independent business judgement resulting in favourable decisions that benefit your business and the company
Resourceful and dynamic with the ability to quickly problem solve while interacting with clients, and articulate those thoughts with clarity and professionalism, both verbally and in writing.
Possess strong business and financial acumen
Be prepared to travel across mainly UK but also wider when necessary e.g. Ireland and Nordic regions.
