Description
The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Audio Visual distributor to help grow and maximise sales throughout the South of England.
This is an external role, based from home, covering a strategic regional area, focused on some existing but mostly new business. It is supported by an internal sales team and product specialist. You will report to the Regional Business Development Manager and will be supplied with all the equipment necessary to carry out your role.

Key responsibilities:

▪Engage with new opportunities and dormant accounts to increase your customer base
▪Meeting and exceeding sales target, maximising sales within the full product portfolio
▪Identify and categorise your customers in a priority system, allocating sufficient time to each account to enable you to grow their business based on potential.
▪Maintain regular visits with existing and new customers, the minimum level visits per week is 8, the expected is 10 and the optimum is 12, ensuring you have all the information available to fully evaluate potential and discuss recent and past activities.
▪Engage, Develop and grow sales within your priority accounts, arrange training and vendor meetings to build relationships and grow product knowledge and commercials to enable the business to grow.
▪On occasions in support of your accounts, carry out assisted end user sales visit and exhibitions, where the end user team are not available
▪Work closely with the internal accounts team to ensure that a co-ordinated, cost effective sales strategy is agreed for each customer
▪Proactively engage with new business and dormant accounts with the support of the new business team to bring on new customers.

Based from home within the Home Counties you will cover the South of England and work with your Regional Manager to grow business in the area.
Salary is £28k-£30k basic with circa £42k OTE plus company car and benefits.

Your skills and experience

This is an ideal opportunity for an Audio Visual Internal Salesperson to move to an external role or an end user salesperson to move into Channel Sales.

You will have a minimum of two years successful selling in the Audio Visual marketplace.

You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. Able to pay attention to detail and to be organised, you will also be a good relationship builder with strong presentation and negotiation skills and a desire to succeed in a competitive environment.

You will have a good understanding of channel business models and understanding of the Audio Visual marketplace.
