- The Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager within a manufacturer of Audio Visual Solutions selling innovative Products providing collaboration, presentation and annotation.
With a suite of products from video end points, touch screens and video Phones this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career, knowledge and experience.
The role of a Business Development Manager requires the ability to drive new business revenues through the acquisition and servicing of new customers in need of our client's products and solutions.
Successfully uncover new opportunities and build a viable sales pipeline, promoting products, such as touch screens, video conference solutions and SW end points to small, medium and large organisations within a diverse range of industries in the Corporate and Public Sector markets.
▪Cultivate pipeline and execute sales.
▪Accurately forecast pipeline development (weekly, monthly and quarterly) and report on opportunities within the assigned territory
▪Manage and grow reseller and client relationships within the territory
▪Provide feedback to corporate on market and industry trends, competitive data and solution requirements
▪Maintain timely and accurate data and records in CRM
▪Be the go-to expert for our client's solutions in a collaborative sales approach with our strategic partners, channels community and clients
▪Provide technical and administrative product information and demonstrations to resellers and/or clients
▪Build and execute an innovative joint business plan with our client's strategic partners and channels community to meet and exceed assigned targets
▪Engage with cross-functional resources including: Engineering, Marketing, IT and Management to drive sales
▪Ensure customer satisfaction and establish reference clients
▪Represent our client at customer partner meetings, trade shows, events and conferences
Based in Frankfurt or from your home office in Germany, the salary package is very competitive - Euros 60/65k p.a. (split 70% basic 30% commission) plus Euros 800 per month car allowance and generous holiday allowance.
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will ideally have a degree and have 5+ years in presentation products solutions sales, preferably in AV hardware/software for a high-growth organisation. Proven track record of high goal achievement and revenue building required.
You will be a highly successful new business hunter with a demonstrable track record of success within the Audio Visual industry selling LFD, AV and preferably video conferencing solutions.
You will be an effective communicator, with the ability to rapidly develop rapport with your clients, establishing trust and loyalty to ensure repeat business.
▪You will be driven to achieve and over achieve your targets, with a view to progress into a senior position.
▪To grow the reseller base directly and indirectly, while promoting the various product ranges.
▪Proposing and implementing tactical sales promotions and developing channel strategies.
▪Ensuring the company remains proactive and responsive to prospective clients.
▪To work closely with the Country Manager to ensure that business objectives are set and met to maintain and grow set accounts.
▪Presenting the company to potential partners through direct communication; meetings, telephone calls and correspondences.
▪A good understanding of communications is required for regular reporting activities including forecasting, visit reports, journey plans, account planning.
▪You will be entrepreneurial in your thinking, have industry manufacturer experience and be an assertive, energetic, self-starter with an established skill set in Audio Visual solution products and relationship sales.
▪A proven history of performance in developing and maintaining strong client relationships at the reseller and enterprise level, including competence and confidence in presenting at the Director, VP and C-level
▪You will be comfortable applying business acumen and financial expertise to identify and qualify opportunities, skilled in sales strategy, opportunity discovery, deal qualification and negotiation to close.
▪Travel throughout Germany is required.
Ideally you will be fluent in German and English.
