- The Opportunity
Our client is a world leading vendor of high grade visual technology solutions and to continue their success, they are offering an exciting opportunity for a talented, motivated and outgoing individual to continue their sales growth and expand the team in the German Marketplace.
You will be a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager.
The primary focus of your role will be to identify, cultivate, and secure new sales and project opportunities within the German Market. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for targeting end users, consultants/planners, and system integrators who utilize and deploy control room videowall processing technology across various industries, including Process Control, Building Automation, Traffic Management, Public Safety, Security and Access Control, Energy Management, Telecommunications, and Military Defence.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new sales and project opportunities within the German Market, focusing on end users, consultants/planners, and system integrators.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target customer groups.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential customers and understand industry trends and demands.
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to align strategies and drive business growth.
Present and demonstrate our client's control room videowall processing technology to prospective customers.
Lead negotiations and close deals, ensuring that sales targets and revenue goals are achieved.
Provide regular updates on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to the management team.
Collaborate with the sales support team to ensure smooth project handover and customer satisfaction.
Sales planning, forecast updates and reporting for customer accounts
Organizing training sessions at customer offices internationally
Attending international trade shows to develop and maintain business
Working closely with regional colleagues, product management and management team members as required
Ideally based in Germany (Dusseldorf, Dortmund, Cologne, Frankfurt) but other DACH areas considered, salary will be circa Euros 60k plus commission, giving circa Euros 100k p.a. plus mileage allowance and excellent benefits package.
Your skills and experience
Native German speaker with a good proficiency in English to effectively communicate within the company.
Ideally located within Germany, although candidates from other locations will be considered.
Proven track record in developing and closing business within the target customer groups mentioned above.
Strong understanding of control room videowall processing technology and its applications in relevant industries.
The ability to understand and communicate technical concepts and requirements to customers and internal teams equally
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with clients and stakeholders.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The ability to work within and help to develop an expanding team.
Strong negotiation and closing skills with a focus on achieving sales targets.
Willingness to travel as required to meet with customers and attend industry events.
Higher education at university or similar desirable but experience is more important
Experience of CRM systems a distinct advantage
