- The Opportunity
Our client is a leading manufacturer of video products and components for the broadcast and media, live entertainment, and AV/IT markets worldwide.
With a growing range of technically complex products, our client is now seeking a commercially and technically astute individual to join the team to further grow the business in the UK and Ireland.
This is a varied and exciting technical sales role representing a well-known and reputed brand. It requires an energetic and self-driven person to work as part of the UK based team.
This role demands high levels of personal contact with customers and the ability to react quickly and with confidence to rapidly changing market conditions in an entrepreneurial manner
The role requires extensive travelling across the UK and Ireland.
Responsibilities
Research, select and proactively engage with target end users in a growing number of markets and application areas including: Digital Signage, Control Rooms, Industrial Automation Process Control, Military Defence, Transportation, Education and Corporate.
Maintain and expand relationships and develop business and pipeline with key AV and IT integration partners.
Position their value proposition and work strategically with key industry consultants to build relationships and business.
Actively participate in the development of competitive sales strategies for the companys solutions in the UK market.
Proactively provide market feedback on the changing market needs.
Maintain personal knowledge on competitive products and technologies.
Motivate, manage and continuously develop channel partners across the territories
Proactively deliver product training and updates to channel partners
Conduct both virtual and in person demos to customers and partners.
Based ideally in the Home Counties - our client is based in Herts - but with frequent travel across UK Ireland.
Salary is circa £50k p.a. doe plus commission giving £70k OTE plus 6k car allowance and excellent benefits - including private health and profit share.
Your skills and experience
Ideally a bachelors degree in Electronics, Computer engineering or Business.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in an AV or technology oriented sales or business development role.
Understanding of different Codecs and IP streaming protocols / networking
Knowledge of working with both direct and indirect sales models
Experience of working with a CRM, (pref. Salesforce) pipeline and opportunity management.
Experience of the OKR Methodology
