The Opportunity

As an Audio Visual Installation Engineer, you will perform hands-on installation of a wide range of integrated audio and video equipment into government buildings and commercial offices. Leading projects, usually working as part of an installation team, you will get involved at various sites around the South of England, primarily in London. You will install whole systems, including boardroom systems (audio and video, video conferencing), meeting room/lecture theatre presentation solutions and digital signage. You will also install the system infrastructure, working with a wide range of cabling and terminations, as well as IP network infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to receive ongoing training and development to keep you up to date with the latest technologies in the AV and VC Technologies markets.

Salary: £23K – £28k + Benefits: Pension, Life Assurance

Your Skills, Qualities and Achievements

Must be a proven AV installation engineer with excellent knowledge of AV installations, and knowledge of the latest AV & VC technologies. Must be proficient in installing modern AV infrastructure and AV equipment, including interactive whiteboards, projectors, screens and audio systems. Experience working in corporate environments and liaising with senior clients would be an advantage. You are likely to have a qualification in AV or electronic installation (such as Infocomm CTS); you will also need to be CRB checked to work on sensitive client sites. A full driving licence is essential. You will be required to cover sites across the UK, primarily in London and the South East, but need to be flexible on travel and working hours when required (usually 9am-5pm with occasional overtime).
