This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Audio Visual/VC Project Manager to deliver a client focused successful delivery of audio visual projects.
The role provides accountability for the following elements of project delivery from purchase order through implementation, commissioning and handover to follow-on support services.
You will manage costs throughout the project, monitoring expenditure and ensuring change and variations are strictly controlled.
You will have a technical understanding of solutions and will assume overall control of the direction and success of projects to achieve the client objectives within budget and on time.
You will pay special attention to building the client relationship, demonstrating the company difference and delivering a personal, attentive service.
Main Duties of the Job:
Production of project documentation including risk and method statements and project delivery plans
You will supervise installation and maintenance works completed by the engineering team, as well as scheduling installation work and overseeing the procurement of required equipment and materials.
Preparation and monitoring of project budget under your control.
It will be your responsibility to ensure quality assurance and compliance with main contract conditions
Project management and on-site supervision of engineering, programming and potential 3rd party contractors.
Regular project reporting, highlighting and managing any risks or issues before escalation.
Manage the collection of project handover details and ensure a smooth delivery into ongoing support services
Develop the relationship with your client, inspiring confidence in your ability to understand their needs and deliver an unparalleled service level.
Based in London or Home Counties (West of London) salary level will be dependent upon experience but circa £38k-£45k p.a. plus car and benefits,
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will be able to produce project documentation to a high standard work with Microsoft Project, Visio, Office and CAD software platforms and able to understand and work with system design drawings.
You will also have the ability to motivate and manage project implementation teams as well as the ability and presence to liaise with clients at senior level, external consultants and project consultants.
A thorough understanding of field based Audio Visual engineering, maintaining and operation is required with a working understand of current AV technologies including:
– Video management systems
– Audio management systems
– Control systems
– Lighting systems
– Display technology
– Digital signage
– Video conferencing
Ideally you will also have an understanding of AV systems and integration with IP networks and existing infrastructure, industry accreditation (Infocomm, Cedia etc) and be conversant with Project Management best-practice and Methodologies e.g. (PRINCE2)
