The Opportunity

Our vendor client is looking for a Technical Salesperson with good RF/AV/VOIP experience to help improve their growing sales. Sales are typically to RF installers (perhaps members of the CAI and/or the RDI), but can also be the ProAV integrators.

Key Responsibilities

* Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations.
* Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
* Able to convey customer/market requirements to Product Management teams in the US.

Your skills and experience

A technical education background is desirable, but not as important as technical sales experience.
the ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in technical sales into the RF or AV market.
You will be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Organised and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.

Ideally you will have 2-5+ years’ relevant experience in vendor sales, ideally in in RF and/or AV sales and with a solid understanding of RF and AV technology.

You will have excellent AV technical product knowledge able to present, demonstrate and train a variety of stakeholders. A good understanding of the market sector, and appreciation of major channel influencers and end users and the ability to to assess and analyse market intelligence in relation to our client’s product range.

Your Skills, Qualities and Achievements
You will be a proven business to technical business sales professional, with excellent selling skills to senior manager level in the private sector. Ideally you will have experience of selling AV solutions or similar in a channel based role but a good technical AV Salesperson in Integrated sales would definitely be considered. Knowledge of the latest AV solutions and equipment is essential, particularly useful would be knowledge of the latest audio (speakers, microphones, amplifiers) and conferencing products (audio and video) utilised in systems in the corporate and public sector spaces. A background in technical sales (such as IT, AV or VC solutions through channel partners) is essential. Field and Office based covering London and South East you will be required to deal with refurbishments and new build projects from start to finish. This is top end solution led selling with an average project at circa £50k+

With your ability to network through relationship building, you will be required to create your own leads in the pursuit of new business, you will be the point of contact for the client and have the ability to walk them through the whole project at any time. Your year 1 target will be circa £300k. Excellent marketing and company reputation ensure incoming leads too.

The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to work for a leading lighting and window shading manufacturer as their Commercial Project coordinator.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Manage, ownership of projects while assisting a project management team on large and small commercial projects. A baseline assessment of understanding the existing project management process including design intent versus customer business needs. Performance of project management as measured by loyalty, profitability and project completion on schedule and budget. Successfully manage issues and risks to meeting business objectives.
2. Collaborate with project management team to standardise project management process capable of meeting customer expectations, achieving business objectives (profitability, working capital, etc.) and mitigating risks.
3. Make the effective project plan based on customer master project schedule.
4. Lead and assist the project team to ensure the projects are carried out on-time and on-budget.
5. Lead business risk evaluation with respect to project execution at the region level.
6. Manage the quality of project execution (design, construction and procurement).
7. Coordinate with customer and 3rd party vendor for any change and utilise change management methods to build a robust process capable of sustained and predictable results.
8. Attend project meetings.
9. Organise internal and external project meetings.
10. Provide standardised documentation as specified by customer.

Located in South East London salary is highly competitive circa 35k-40k p.a. plus benefits.

Your skills and experience

You will have a minimum 3 years experience in a similar role. Have the ability to cooperate, support and work successfully in a multi-cultural team environment. Have strong business acumen.

You will be fluent in English and any additional European languages would be an advantage.
Strong business orientation, customer focus and project management skills, results oriented.
You will possess strong leadership abilities and be degree qualified. You should have Auto-Cad skills and a background in the electrical/construction industry ideally with experience of handling lighting control systems and/or shading.

The Opportunity

As an Audio Visual Field Sales Consultant the successful candidate will look after existing and new clients across Greater Manchester and North West England selling Audio Visual solutions and services to a range of organisations, including Local Authorities, Education, Blue-Chip Corporate clients and SMEs.

You will be involved in the whole sales process, from initial lead generation and appointment making, to ensuring customer satisfaction after system installation and training. You will operate in a consultative way to provide total integrated AV systems that will include new boardroom systems, projectors, AMX-Crestron touch screen control systems, Interactive whiteboards, voting systems, digital signage, plasma displays and video-conferencing.

The successful candidate will be a proven business to business Audio-Visual field sales professional and must be used to dealing with senior managers, preferably in the corporate sector but with some public sector experience too.

You must be an accomplished sales professional, with a track record of success that you can readily provide evidence of. You will also need to be ambitious and enthusiastic, with a desire to succeed in a business development role.
