The Opportunity

As Area Sales Manager you will actively target reseller partners (in the Custom Install and Pro AV and Systems Integration market place). You will work with installation companies in both markets throughout the South of England. You will win both new business and manage some existing accounts by approaching them and then selling the benefits of your key brand of product solutions, prompt product delivery and competitive pricing on a wide range of audio technologies. Your aim is to build a relationship which delivers long term profitability for all parties involved. You will also assist your reseller partners with sales to end users, as well as training their staff on products and raising awareness of the company’s products and services in the market. You will specifically target project based business, again working through the channel, to promote your solutions as part of larger overall AV, IT and communications solutions. this is an excellent opportunity to win new business and develop your own sales channel, then in the long term manage your accounts and maximise market share. You will proactively warm/cold call to AV resellers, systems integrators and relevant project based contacts. this is a field sales role, where you will be selling face to face for the majority of the time, as well as networking, selling at trade shows and other industry events.

Your Skills, Qualities and Achievements

You will be a proven business to business sales professional, with excellent selling skills to senior manager level. You must have experience of selling AV/Pro AV or IT solutions or similar in a channel based role. Knowledge of the latest solutions and equipment is essential, particularly useful would be knowledge of the latest audio technologies ,speakers, amplifiers and cables) utilised in systems in the corporate and public sector spaces. A background in technical sales (such as IT, AV or VC solutions through channel partners) is essential. Must be an accomplished new business winner and account manager, with a track record of success, preferably working within project based sales roles and selling to AV resellers and systems integrators. You will need excellent communication, presentation and training skills. The Opportunity

As an Audio Visual Field Sales Consultant the successful candidate will look after existing and new clients across Greater Manchester and North West England selling Audio Visual solutions and services to a range of organisations, including Local Authorities, Education, Blue-Chip Corporate clients and SMEs.

You will be involved in the whole sales process, from initial lead generation and appointment making, to ensuring customer satisfaction after system installation and training. You will operate in a consultative way to provide total integrated AV systems that will include new boardroom systems, projectors, AMX-Crestron touch screen control systems, Interactive whiteboards, voting systems, digital signage, plasma displays and video-conferencing.

As you develop the client base and the company continues to follow its business plan of sustainable growth, there will be opportunities for career advancement into managerial roles.

Salary: £30 – £35K basic, (Negotiable), £50K OTE, Commission with Unlimited Earnings, Mileage Allowance and Career Progression. You will be based in the Greater Manchester or surrounding areas.

Your Skills, Qualities and Achievements

The successful candidate will be a proven business to business Audio-Visual field sales professional and must be used to dealing with senior managers, preferably in the corporate sector but with some public sector experience too.

You must be an accomplished sales professional, with a track record of success that you can readily provide evidence of. You will also need to be ambitious and enthusiastic, with a desire to succeed in a business development role.
