Description
The Opportunity

As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for leading the business development activities in UK and Ireland. You will identify and monitor new business opportunities that will allow the company to expand their presence in UK and Ireland.

You will work as a team with the UK Sales Manager and Field Engineer, to develop and execute a mid to long term strategic business plan for this international technology company in their AV division.

You will be a hunter not a farmer and able to develop opportunities for your brands throughout the reseller integrator channel in the UK Ireland.

Key responsibilities:

▪Focus on new channel opportunities
▪Has direct contact with/visit consultants and key end users
▪Responsible for building key customer relationships/ improve existing relationships
▪Identifies business opportunities and develop the project/business pipeline
▪Negotiates and closes business deals (transition to distribution channel for indirect sales)
▪Works closely together with and supports the Regions distribution partners
▪Maintains extensive knowledge of current market and collect info on business trends with a view to develop new products and/or channels
▪Responsible to identify opportunities for campaigns, promotions that will lead to an increase in sales
▪Uses knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators
▪Makes presentations on (new) solutions/products and services that meet or predict the customers future need

The company's products include Display solutions, mounting solutions, Unified Communications, AV furniture, Video Walls, Innovative screens and more.

Based in London or the Home Counties (but consideration given to the right candidate in any other English location with good transport links) -with a salary circa £45k-£50k negotiable doe + comms giving OTE of circa £55k-£65k plus generous car allowance and other benefits associated with a blue chip company.

▪Outstanding personal skills and highly skilled negotiator

▪Networking capabilities, is persuasive and comfortable in public speaking

▪Has excellent prospecting and closing skills and market knowledge

▪Planning and analytical abilities; able to keep a track record of accurate pipeline reporting

▪Knowledge of the pro AV market and reseller channel is considered a plus

▪You will be career minded and looking to succeed in a growing and successful international company.
