- The Opportunity
This position is within the existing sales team and reports directly to the Sales Director. You will work alongside the other Business Development staff to build an achievable pipeline with realistic targets.
You will be expected to:
Prospect for new business within the public and associated sectors
Work closely with Business Researcher to create campaigns to generate new business leads
Create a realistic sales strategy with the Sales Director. You will be responsible for delivering the agreed plan.
You will be set targets within your role which you will be able to agree in line with the Sales Director. Once you have determined your target with the Sales Director you will be expected to achieve the figures agreed.
You will be generating new business of our client's products including webcasting software, AV solutions and AV service and maintenance packages using a mixture of your own lead generation and leads generated by the in-house lead generator and enquiries received.
This role is aimed at the development of new business and if this isn't you then read no further!
UK travel is required within this role and you should have a full, clean driving licence and the ability to plan your journeys in accordance with safe driving practice and the needs of the business. The work will be a mixture of on the road and desk based. Working from home to save unnecessary travel is encouraged but you will be expected to spend a large amount of your time on the road meeting potential clients.
Based in the South East salary is £40k p.a. plus car allowance and benefits.
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will need:

▪The ability to sell solutions as well as products and take an all round view of client requirements
▪When selling, an eye for looking at the “bigger picture”
▪An understanding of good business planning
▪Good time management and task prioritisation skills - focus
▪The ability to keep up to date and accurate records on our client's CRM and be able to produce KPI reports when requested to do so.
You will have very strong presentation and business tactic skills.
You must be able to work alone at times, think strategically and holistically about your selling but also how the company can support you to achieve the targets set for you.
