- The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to join a growing distribution company as Product Manager for their Digital Signage products.
The role will require a strong focus on sales and technical ability as well as implementing processes and systems that will enable the product to scale within the reseller channel.
An ability to help define marketing and route to market strategy and input will be required in conjunction with our client's Commercial Director.
A background in digital signage and knowledge of the UK reseller channel is essential. Ideally, you will also have knowledge of IT or networking as well as an ability to cope with both technical knowledge and translating this into easy to digest sales language.
The successful candidate needs to demonstrate flexibility, a desire to build a brand from scratch and an appetite to work in a small but growing team.
Your responsibilities will include maximising sales and profitability, in line with company objectives objectives through first class support for Digital Signage products.
This support will include, but is not restricted to;
- Accurate, consistent supply of product data to sales team.
- Engagement in sales activity
- Provide support to help win business.
Responsible for ensuring all pricing decisions and product strategy is implemented accurately within correct timescales.
▪Help manage the relationship between our client and the Vendors
▪Implementation and maintenance of pricing strategy
▪Provide feedback to from sales teams on product marketing decisions
▪Facilitate call-outs, promotions and offers and ensure sales activity fully integrated with Product Marketing and vendor focus
▪Develop and maintain close relationships with appropriate people at all vendors
▪Manage all pricing information for the sales teams, ecommerce systems and all pricing vehicles
▪Provide support to the sales teams with product and first line technical support
▪Ensure stock levels are maintained at a level to support all sales and marketing activity, ensuring aged stock and waste is kept to a minimum
Based in Surrey our client offers an excellent remuneration package with a basic salary of up to £35k plus £15k (uncapped) commission based on sales of the products, plus an annual £5k discretionary bonus paid on first year results and £500 per month car allowance and additional mileage allowance, plus benefits such as pension and health care.
Your skills and experience
A background in digital signage and knowledge of the UK reseller channel is vital for the role together with:
▪Proven sales or PM track record of 5 years+
▪Previous experience as a Product Manager or experience of taking new products to market
▪Strong work ethic
▪Technical knowledge of IP and networks
▪Ability to work independently and part of a small team
▪Medium to high knowledge of MS Office, CRM (the company uses Salesforce)
