- The Opportunity
Our client is a world leading innovator in computer graphics, video capture and digital display technology. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and strategic Product Manager to join their team. Working in this marketing role you will be interacting directly with Customers, the engineering team, distributors and partners, and the operations team on a daily basis.
As the Product Manager for Networked Video Solutions youll be responsible for aggregation and structuring of market requirements for products, structuring, organising, and helping prioritise product requirements for different products and working with the management team to develop the overall product roadmap.
The Product Manager is also responsible for the articulation of the Unique Selling Points, competitive analysis, development of application notes, and case studies for products, and in general supporting the sales and marketing effort with product knowledge, as well as working with RD and the engineering Team.
Your role will be to understand customer needs and translate this into objectives for the engineering teams to produce effective solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for an outgoing individual with excellent communications skills to develop their marketing career in a profitable growing business within a dynamic organisation.
▪ Developing details of required Product and software feature specifications
▪ Competitive analysis, and competitive positioning of products
▪ Supporting Sales in pre-sales efforts
▪ Develop application notes and user case studies for products
▪ Working with partner companies to enable sales of products in specific application areas.
▪ Provide general support in sales and marketing
East Midlands based salary is negotiable circa £50k-£60k + benefits.
Your Skills, Qualities and Achievements
The ideal candidate for the position will have experience of product management in a technology setting. Ideally with a background in software, hardware, Audio Visual or computer engineering. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to confidently build relationships with colleagues and customers are important in the role.
You will need a good understanding of PC Hardware and Audio Visual technologies. A good organiser who pays attention to detail you will be rich in initiative and energy whilst still being a good team player. You should have at least 3 years in a Product Marketing role within IT or AV technology products. The successful candidate will should have the potential to move into a Marketing Manager role within this growing company.
