- The Opportunity
As the AV Systems Technical Architect and Programme Manager you will be working with technical and non-technical individuals across the organisation.
One of the main functions of the role is to collaborate with the sales team to create pre-sales documentation, proposals and tenders for Integrated AV solutions for the hospitality sector, including systems designs specification, installation planning and service/maintenance schedules.
You will be working closely with sales professionals and liaising with clients to develop optimum solutions to meet their requirements and budgets, making use of the latest audio visual technologies.
This role will require you to keep up to date with the latest products and standards within AV, in order to offer the most competitive solutions currently available. Once tenders have been won, you will oversee technical delivery and be available to answer any technical issues from installers, clients and any professionals relevant to the project.
You will be responsible for the procurement of the required system components and the project budget, which you will monitor and manage, ensuring compliance with contract requirement. There is a strong commercial element to this role, managing vendor relationships to ensure best price and maximum profit margin, whilst working with the sales and account management team to maximise opportunities with existing clients that you work with.
Based in Berkshire salary is negotiable circa £50k-£55k p.a. plus benefits
Your skills and experience
This role requires a technically strong AV systems integration expert, who also understands IT network infrastructure and how it applies to AV solutions. Must have a proven track record in Audio Visual and delivering high value Audio Visual technology projects in the corporate public sectors.
Must have a strong knowledge of field based Audio Visual engineering, maintaining and operation, ideally with a prior background working in a professional services and implementation role at senior level, particularly within a similar industry. You will have current and working understanding of AV solutions, (specifically Digital Signage) their design, installation and testing.
A good knowledge of Project Management best-practice and methodologies, such as PRINCE2 would be useful.
As well as being technically accomplished, you will also need to be a good communicator, able to work with a variety of individuals with varying degrees of technical knowledge, including installation engineers, control system programmers, technical sales people, IT Managers and non-technical clients (senior managers).
